FAQ

What dances are usually danced?
The most common are Waltz, Fox-trot Tango, Quickstep,
Viennese Waltz, Cha Cha, Rumba, Bolero, and Swing.
We also play Samba, Night Club Two-step, Hustle, Meringue,
and an occasional Salsa.

Do I need to bring a partner to your dances?  No, we have
many single dancers attend our events and everyone is
encouraged to dance with new guests.  We also have several
mixers during the evening to give everyone a chance to dance.

Do you have food and beverages at your dances?  Yes we
serve food and non-alcoholic beverages.  We are known for
our delicious and plentiful food.  It is included in the admission
price.

Do I have to be a good dancer to attend?  No, we have all
levels of dancers attend our socials.  Many are beginners,
some are intermediate, some are advanced and some are
competitive dancers.  Our members are encouraged to ask
guests to dance.  Those who want to improve their dancing
are invited to attend our dance classes.

Do I need to make reservations to attend?  Only those events
with sit down dinners require reservations.  All our other
socials are open to the public on a first come, first serve basis.
Click
Our Next Social page to see if reservations are required.

How do I join your club?  Attend two social events and ask two
SDSD members to sponsor your application.  Then fill out the
Interest Form.
