- What dances are usually danced?
- The most common are Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz, Cha Cha, Rumba, Bolero, and Swing. We also play Samba, Night Club Two-step, Hustle, Merengue, and an occasional Salsa.
- Do I need to bring a partner to your dances?
- No, we have many single dancers attend our events and everyone is encouraged to dance with new guests. We also have several mixers during the evening to give everyone a chance to dance.
- Do you have food and beverages at your dances?
- Yes, we serve food and non-alcoholic beverages. We are known for our delicious and plentiful food. It is included in the admission price.
- Do I have to be a good dancer to attend?
- No, we have all levels of dancers attend our socials. Many are beginners, some are intermediate, some are advanced and some are competitive dancers. Our members are encouraged to ask guests to dance. Those who want to improve their dancing are invited to attend our dance classes.
- Do I need to make reservations to attend?
- Only those events with sit down dinners require reservations. All our other socials are open to the public on a first come, first served basis. See Our Next Social page to see if reservations are required.
- How do I join your club?
- Attend two social events and ask two SDSD members to sponsor your application. Then fill out the Interest Form.
